The Chamber of Tradesmen of Slovakia as a self-governing legal entity significantly affects the field of trade in the Slovak Republic, especially in fulfilling public-law tasks, in using the knowledge of control bodies such as the Slovak Trade Inspection, state examinations and so on.
The Chamber’s remit is related to its mission, especially in the area of development of small and medium-sized enterprises, protection and support of its members (membership in the Chamber is voluntary), in 1999-2004 in assessing and commenting on applications for concession and professional trade.
